Slender yet durable, the Sony ICD-SX712 Digital Voice Recorder has up to 2 GB of flash memory and offers up to 536 hours of recording time in the MP3 8kbps mode. With a slim, light aluminum body, this recorder is easy to take with you and comes with a USB port for high-speed file transfer to a PC. Six recording modes, including uncompressed Linear PCM, 320kbps MP3 Stereo, 192kbps MP3 Stereo, 128kbps MP3 Stereo, 48kbps MP3 Mono and 8kbps MP3 Mono, let users achieve the preferred sound quality and recording time. The recorder features a highly sensitive triple microphone array to meet the needs of not only business users, but also musicians and podcasters. The backlit dot-matrix LCD shows the record level as well as the MP3 ID3-tag if the user uploads music content to the device.
