Panasonic BB-HCM547A Network Camera
Features in Detail | Enlarged Image
By sending images in both MPEG-4 and JPEG formats, the Panasonic BB-HCM547A Network Camera lets you monitor with a variety of environments -- a PC in the office, a cell phone around town, or a TV in a waiting room. Its PoE capability allows it to be installed in places where it is difficult to provide power, like near an entranceway or elevator, or in a factory or warehouse. The BB-HCM531 can also be used outdoors to further expand its range of application. Using a network resolves many of the limitations that exist for installing and using conventional analog cameras, to greatly expand your business opportunities through Zero Distance Management. Zero Distance Management is a new business style made possible by Panasonic network cameras. It allows safe, smooth, economical business management that is totally free from conventional distance and time limitations.
Place this Plug and Play camera almost anywhere you'd like to keep an eye on things, with no PC required on location! Panasonic Network Cameras can be viewed and controlled from a standard web browser. They're easy to install, easy to operate, and require no additional software for viewing on your PC or cell phone. Panasonic network cameras are a great way to keep an eye on your home, business, or just about anywhere else. You can view images from a compatible PC, Cell Phone, PDA, or Television. Each camera is web-enabled, so no PC is required at the camera location; all you need is a broadband connection. View multiple local or remote cameras on your TV (with optional TV adapter) with zoom, pan and tilt control.
Panasonic BB-HCM547A Key Features
- Dome-Shaped Camera for Neat Mounting on the Ceiling Or Under Eaves
- This is a dome-shaped camera with integrated mounting hardware ideal for indoor ceiling use or outdoors under eaves. Conventionally, to mount Panasonic cameras (other than the optical zoom type) on the ceiling, a separate dedicated stand was necessary. The integration of the mount equipment and the neat design of the dome shape allow you to mount the camera anywhere conveniently.
- PoE (Power over Ethernet) Capability
- Panasonic 500 series IP Network Cameras featuring PoE (Power over Ethernet) use a single standard data cable for video, data and power. You benefit from simplified installation anywhere you can run ethernet cable. Since you don't have to have AC outlets installed near your cameras(s), you eliminate electrician costs. And a PoE splitter may be installed where network cameras are not 802.3af standard compliant. There's web-based remote monitoring and resetting of network cameras and IP terminals, plus UPS backup for all network security devices by a single centralized UPS unit.
- 4.6x Power Zoom Wide-Angle Lens (2.3x Optical, 2x Digital)
- The use of a 73-degree wide-angle lens lets you monitor a wide area in a single view. The coverage can be increased even more by combining pan and tilt operation. Equipped with a 4.6x zoom function (a 2.3x optical zoom and a 2x digital zoom), the camera lets you zoom in and out to view objects that are close or far away.
- Motion Sensor
- This function detects changes by reacting to a camera threshold or sensitivity that is set in advance on the PC.
- Splash Resistant Body Indoor / Outdoor Network Camera
- The camera can be mounted just as it is onto a store eave or other outdoor location. This allows installation in a variety of places to expand its scope of application. Complies with IEC 60529, equivalent to IPX4 splash resistance.
- HTTPS Data Encryption Deters Electronic Eavesdropping
- Image/voice data is sent in encrypted form, making it very difficult for someone else to eavesdrop on the network.
- Progressive Scan
- Progressive scanning eliminates the blurring that often occurs with interlaced scanning, to produce a high-quality image.
- Analog Video Output (NTSC and PAL Compatible)
- By connecting a cable directly to the camera's video output terminal, you can use your existing TV or video recorder for monitoring. When using analog video output, the camera automatically switches to interlace scanning to suppress flicker in motion images. A mini video cable (with 3.5-mm mini plug) is required.
- MPEG-4 Video
- Provides smooth motion images even with limited network speeds or a smaller volume of image data.
- Motion JPEG Video
- Motion JPEG is recommended for recording higher quality images. Three image quality modes (Favor Clarity, Standard, Favor Motion) are available.
- Simultaneous MPEG-4 and JPEG
- Camera simultaneously sends MPEG-4 images in three resolutions (VGA*, QVGA, and SCIF), and JPEG images in the same three resolutions in Favor Motion, Standard, and Favor Clarity image-quality types. MPEG-4 is recommended for viewing smooth motion images, and JPEG is recommended for recording higher quality images.
- Two-Way Audio Communication
- By using the built-in microphone and a separately purchased speaker, you can speak to someone near the camera while monitoring. This gives you more precise communication to lessen the inconvenience of being in a distant location.
- SD Memory Card Slot Recording With Audio
- A large number of images can be saved onto an SD Memory Card inserted into the camera. The images on the card can be checked over the Internet, or if no network is being used, monitoring is possible using only the camera by simply storing the images onto the card.
- 0.2 Lux Color Night View Mode
- When the subject darkens, the camera automatically adjusts the brightness to show you the image. The Color Night View Mode brings the minimum light requirement down to 0.2 lux, letting you capture images even in dimly lit places.
- Remote Pan/Tilt and Digital Zoom Control With Presets
- The camera angle can be varied by remote control to monitor large areas. Monitoring precision can be further increased by using the zoom.
- IPv4 / IPv6 Dual-Stack
- Panasonic's new network cameras allow the use of a virtually unlimited number of IP addresses by supporting IPv6, a next-generation protocol. The IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack feature enables you to use IPv4 at the present and switch over to IPv6 in the future.
- Ethernet (10Base-T/100Base-TX) Network Interface
- Image Transfer Function
- In accordance with preset settings*, the camera will automatically transfer images and a data log by e-mail to an e-mail** address or by FTP to a server. This allows you to check images only when necessary, and also prevents you from forgetting to check them.
- 30 Frames Per Second Maximum 640 x 480 Video (MPEG4 Only)
- Cell Phone Monitoring
- Still images from the camera can be checked on a cell phone that is capable of normal web access and JPEG viewing. The pan, tilt, and zoom functions can also be operated from the cell phone.
- 4-Up, 9-Up and 16-Up Multi Camera Pages
- Up To 30 Simultaneous Video Users
- Built-in Web Server / IP Address (IPv4 / IPv6)
- Password Protection
- Plug and Play Installation
- Multi-Language Interface
- Image Time / Date Stamp
- 1 Year Warranty
