PoE (Power over Ethernet) Capability

Panasonic 500 series IP Network Cameras featuring PoE (Power over Ethernet) use a single standard data cable for video, data and power. You benefit from simplified installation anywhere you can run ethernet cable. Since you don't have to have AC outlets installed near your cameras(s), you eliminate electrician costs. And a PoE splitter may be installed where network cameras are not 802.3af standard compliant. There's web-based remote monitoring and resetting of network cameras and IP terminals, plus UPS backup for all network security devices by a single centralized UPS unit.

10x Digital Zoom

Equipped with a 10x digital zoom function ), the camera lets you zoom in and out to view objects that are close or far away.

Motion Sensor

This function detects changes by reacting to a camera threshold or sensitivity that is set in advance on the PC.

Analog Video Output (NTSC and PAL Compatible)

By connecting a cable directly to the camera's video output terminal, you can use your existing TV or video recorder for monitoring. When using analog video output, the camera automatically switches to interlace scanning to suppress flicker in motion images. A mini video cable (with 3.5-mm mini plug) is required.

The camera cannot be controlled when using analog video output. The video image displays poorly in color night view mode.

MPEG-4 Video

Provides smooth motion images even with limited network speeds or a smaller volume of image data.

Motion JPEG Video

Motion JPEG is recommended for recording higher quality images. Three image quality modes (Favor Clarity, Standard, Favor Motion) are available.

Simultaneous MPEG-4 and JPEG

Camera simultaneously sends MPEG-4 images in three resolutions (VGA*, QVGA, and SCIF), and JPEG images in the same three resolutions in Favor Motion, Standard, and Favor Clarity image-quality types. MPEG-4 is recommended for viewing smooth motion images, and JPEG is recommended for recording higher quality images.

Two-Way Audio Communication

By using the built-in microphone and a separately purchased speaker, you can speak to someone near the camera while monitoring. This gives you more precise communication to lessen the inconvenience of being in a distant location.

SD Memory Card Slot Recording With Audio

When the subject darkens, the camera automatically adjusts the brightness to show you the image. The Color Night View Mode brings the minimum light requirement down to 0.2 lux, letting you capture images even in dimly lit places.

The camera angle can be varied by remote control to monitor large areas. Monitoring precision can be further increased by using the zoom.

IPv4 / IPv6 Dual-Stack

Panasonic's new network cameras allow the use of a virtually unlimited number of IP addresses by supporting IPv6, a next-generation protocol. The IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack feature enables you to use IPv4 at the present and switch over to IPv6 in the future.

Image Transfer Function
